An Economist, Entrepreneur, Consultant, Finance Expert, Educator & Industry Leader​

Dr. Paul Alaje is the Chief Economist at SPM Professionals and a distinguished Fellow of the International Management Consultants Board (FIMCB) in the USA, as well as the Institute of Economists (FCE) in Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Finance from Rushford Business School and is pursuing a PhD in Economics at Nile University. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from Chichester University, and an MPhil in Economics from Nile University. As a consultant in economics, finance, business, and policy development, he also serves as a TED Talk presenter, professional speaker, and systems developer for peak performance.

An accomplished entrepreneur and educator, Paul has worked across diverse sectors including maritime, agriculture, media, finance, and real estate, while holding positions on various corporate boards. He collaborates with government agencies like AEA and CBN to support small businesses and has shared his expertise through media, conferences, and development programs. Recognized for his contributions to Nigeria’s economic development, he received awards such as the Economist of the Year (2016) and the Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award (2017). Paul continues to offer strategic consulting services both locally and internationally, specializing in health insurance, manufacturing, aviation, and economic development. He serves as a consultant to FrieslandCampina and holds the position of lead revenue consultant for the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), the Post Office and subnationals.
